hks coilovers help

hi everyone can any one help and tell me if hks hyper d coilovers will fit a 2002 subaru wrx or do clasic struts go on the bug eye going to be looking for a set of coilovers thanks for any help

They used to make them for the bug eye, discontinued now though.

just had a little look into what you said and now looking at bc coilovers er series, do you know any thing about them apex are doing a group buy at £822.50 cheers

I know they are popular, other than that I don't know alot about them. Have you asked on any Subaru forums?

I know BC are getting quite good reveiws at the moment but I have a feeling this is due to them being the new kid on the block.

These as I believe are made in the same factory as D2's K Sport (which I again am led to believe replace the K Sport range?)

Personally I wouldn't.... Having driven many cars now with these cheaper coilovers I find them all to be harsh, uncompromising and generally not very good!

Eibach coilovers (whilst they dont have the adjustability of the others) are very good, good ride, with vastly improved damping characteristics, also if your budget can stretch it's worth considering AST's or Exe-tc. Both are well worth the extra investment over the cheaper alternatives.

Also the benifits with AST and Exe-tc is they can be re-shimmed, rebuilt should want different damping characteristics or, over time need a rebuild.

Bear in mind (and correct me if I'm wrong here Dan) but he is building a pure track car, so the road manners of the coilovers are not really a consideration.

A cheap, harsh, uncompromising coilover kit on the road probably won't be any good on the track either. To me that would be an indication that the damper is cheaply made and not tuned for the car at all. The only reason the car will go faster (if at all) is because it can be lowered and have better roll control.

A harsh setup just means that the tyre has to do more work, which means it will heat up and go off faster.

Not very ideal for a track car I'm sure you'll agree.

Totally agree with exe-tc comments though. It's expensive, but in a totally different league to any of these off the shelf Jap brands. Night and day starts to cover it.
