Roof carrying on Mk2 MR2

Hi guys,

Has anyone ever had experience of putting some form of roof rack on an MR2?

I'm thinking of getting one (I've had one before, but it was obviously quite impractical), but would like some method of carrying surfboards, or maybe even a pushbike (!) without the need for a second car.

Has anyone got any suggestions/experience of this?

Yes I had a double bike carrying roof rack on one of these. Used it a few times longest was from Suffolk to Cornwall. It is a little precarious as the distance between the anchoring points on the roof is not exactly huge but if you tighten everything up nicely, then re-tighten after a couple of miles then should be ok.
