You know Nissan don't like you turning ESP off in the GT-R?

That things sounds great, wonder if it is that vocal as standard or are those aftermarket exhausts?
There was mention of the Y-Pipe conversion in last month's evo mag.Has it been done yet?
Car does sound great and it is good to see you are enjoying it.
How does it compare to the other GT-Rs you have owned and driven?
I know the performance on the road will be entirely different but does it feel like an evolution of the family or an entirely different lizard?
Yup, fitted a Milltek Y-pipe a while ago. Full write up here: http://www.auto-journals.com/journals/Nissan?model...
It does feel different from previous GT-Rs. No HICAS 4WS for starters and the 4WD can cut in before rear wheel slip occurs depending on if the computer predicts wheelspin.
It feels more agile, but snappier on the limit in the wet, although that could be down to the tyres.
It also has a better balanced weight distribution, although that could be why the tail was harder to catch "with a dab of oppo" as there is the weight of the gearbox at the back. Engine is also mounted further back.
Still at least it's nice to have the safety net of ESP in the wet.

it was poor driving anyway. Who puts their foot down hard coming off a corner in the wet. dont you need to be straight or at least put foot down gradually coming out the corner.
Now we know why F1 drivers are so good at what they do.
ESP off thats an excuse. We all make mistakes i guess
