R33 vs R34. Is R34 GTR worth it?

I'm seriously considering picking up a new toy and have always wanted a skyline. For me, the only true skyline is the GTR, but of course I'm open to arguments having never driven any variant.

Which leads me to my simple question.

Is the R34 GTR really worth £10k more than an R33 GTR?

Opinions please.
(if it makes any difference, this will be my daily driver and I don't plan doing any mods)

i have unfortunetly never driven either of them but from what ive read one of the main differences is weight.

r32 - 1480kg
R33 - 1750KG
r34 - 1540kg

210kg is like having two burly bouncers sitting in the back where ever you go.
im not saying the r33 is a bad car, id give my left nut for one but if i had the money for either id go for the r34 everytime.

The R33 is regarded as a bit chubby and a bit soft compared to the R32 and so when the R34 was made they made it more raw and cut the weight down.

I was recently in the same boat and looked at some R32s, R33s and R34s of GTT/GTS-T and GTR varieties and decided I definatly wanted an R34 for the looks, upto date interior and just the fact that the cars were newer and so less possible issues with rotten rear arches and the like.

In the end I found my R34 GTT which was a bit of a bargain with the miles and over all condition but if I had the money I would take the R34 over an R33 every time.

They are getting a bit long in the tooth mind so still go in with your eyes open and anything that sounds a bit tappety or rough avoid like the plague. The RB26 engine in them spins shells for a hobby if it has not been looked after correctly. Apart from that they are the usual Nissan build quality and nice cars with plenty of potential for more power relatively inexpensively.

No idea where you got that weight from but its wrong.

Figures I've seen for weights:

R32 1480-1500
R33 1530-1550
R34 1540-1560

The GTT was immaculate and had around 11000 miles from new on it. The R32/R33 GTRs I had looked at both in the UK and import were as you would expect for their age now in need of alot of TLC to get them perfect.

It is also a preference for a more modern interior and shape and just the car being fresher all round.
