I thought it would be easy but no!! Bit of a long shot but I'm looking for a passenger side sun visor for a RX8 2006. If anyone knows of one going spare I would be eternally grateful. Missues is giving me grief about it.

Cheers

Do you think I could fit an American driver side visor to the UK passenger side? I know that means no vanity light but needs be.

Why not look for an rx8 been broken on ebay? smile

Or is it not just the basic sunvisor you're after?

Mines gone too , but is still under warranty . Seems it's quite a common problem and you might be able to fix it yourself .

My passenger sun visor had a flop down moment two weeks ago. Closer inspection showed that it was the top seam that had split open. The car is just over 3 years old unfortunately so I thought I'd have a go at mending it myself. I unscrewed it from the roof (two screws) and unclipped the vanity mirror light wire. I then split the whole visor apart, removed all offending broken bits of plastic around the armature and then superglued all the seal points, run a lin of superglue around the whole perimiter and put the two halves back together with a few items on top to hold the whole thing together. It looks like when it's originally put together they heat weld some contact turrets that exist between the two halves. 1/2 hr later I reconnected the vanity mirror wire and screwed it back to the roof. Job done. It's been fine ever since. I tell the missus to lower it carefully when we are out in it. It's a bit of a poor design though. The drivers side seems fine, which is surprising as it gets more use..
