... a lot from BMW it seems. Is there a difference between their 180 quid job or my local Honda garage who out source this and only charge £ 47.00 ?

Also - is there anywhere I could find the ideal set up figures ?

Cheers

Simon.

£180 seems about right from having it done before, are honda doing the whole lot (camber, castor, toe) or simply toe?

Good question Nathan, probably not. I'll have to enquire.

£120 + VAT at an indie garage on mine, castor not ajustable, so 47 looks a bit cheap

100 quid on a mazda MX5 down at the local honda dealers. 47 quid seems cheap.

Ideal setup figures from the manufacturer, surely ?

And tell them you can get the alignment done cheaper
elsewhere, which is why they aren't getting the business.

Not sure if this is still the case, but when I had my E36 done after it's parking shunt

If it's done at BMW and you have BMW spec original wheels there are 5 extra holes inbetween the bolt holes, BMW's laser alignment kit uses these for it's settings, no one except a BMW dealer is going to have this bit of kit
