Starter battery

Had message come up on the bmw app saying starter battery needs replacing.
Cars been into bmw and had the battery replaced as they said the battery wasn’t taking full charge, but the warning hasn’t disappeared from the app.
Anyone else had this or will it take a few days for the app to catch up with the car?

I believe THEY need to tell the car that the battery has been replaced, speak to the garage that did it.

Just an update on this. Battery was replaced Friday and today the warning has disappeared so must just take a while to sort itself out.
