Has anyone put Runflats on a G29 Z4?
Discussion
I had Runflats on previous Z4 and was quite happy with them. My G29 doesn't have Runflats, doesn't have a spare and everybody says don't use the tyre repair system as it fouls up the tyre and the electronics.
I thinking about switching to Runflats. Does anybody know if they are made for a G29 and would they cause any issues with the TPMS?
Thanks.

Yeah people have done it. Tyres exist in the right sizes. TPMS works fine as long as you get the right sensors fitted or swap yours over.
Main thing is the ride gets firmer and the G29 already rides stiffer than the old E85. You’ll feel every cat’s eye. Also no spare wheel well so you’re just carrying a can of goo anyway.
If you liked them before you’ll probably be fine. Just check the tyre pressures more often runflats hate being low.

How much are TPMS sensors? As I understand it, using the runflat capability of runflats kills the tyre anyway, and they're meant to be replaced, so if the runflats are more expensive (as they seem to be), I would use the goo and take the hit on the sensor.
My maths would be the cost uplift of initial purchase of four runflats vs one replacement sensor, should using the goo permanently damage it (may not even be guaranteed to?).
Driving a run-flat with no air in will wreck it anyway.
My E86 handbook stated you shouldn't go over 50mph or a maximum of 155 miles (less with a loaded car or two people) with a flat run-flat.
As I often do trips hundreds of miles from home with my current Z4 without run-flats I carry a full-size spare wheel, jack and wheel-brace to avoid getting stranded!
I'd stick to normal tyres but maybe get one of those tyre-plug kits if you don't want to lose most of the boot with a spare wheel.
