I m looking for a holder for a small phone (iPhone 13 Mini) that fits reliably into the central air vents of an F31 2019 320 Touring (under the iDrive screen). That seems to be the best situation for my real-life use.

I’ve tried a couple of cheapo Amazon alternatives that work most of the time and grip the phone reliably, but fall out of the vents often enough to be irritating. They have a lip at the far end of the jaws that s supposed to hook behind the vent flaps, but doesn t reach quite far enough to lock on.

Any recommendations based on personal experience gratefully received.

I use a UGREEN Magsafe phone holder for my iPhone / wife's Google Pixel with zero issues in our F31: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-Compatible-MagSafe...

I know it means needing a Magsafe case but that's easy enough to sort

You can just see it on the central vents here

Great.
I’ve got several UGREEN products (charger, cables & a battery pack) and I’ve always found the quality to be fine: a bit like Anker.
I’ve found a ‘drop-in’ version of the model you have, so I won’t need to change my case, and it has free returns via Amazon, so I’ll give it a go. It looks like the arm that hooks over a vent leaf is longer than the grip of the ones I have tried, so I’m optimistic it’ll work: I’ll drop back to confirm and list the exact model if it’s OK, in case anyone else is interested.
Many thanks.

Yup; the ones that slide through the vents, and then grip on to it and you tighten it down, are much better than the ones you just push in

I always have a large mobile; even foldables, and never had any issues

Yes, it arrived this afternoon in good-looking UGREEN packaging.

It fits very solidly and seems secure with my Spigen-cased iPhone 13 Mini in place, despite that model not being listed among those compatible. I don't think it'll be coming off unless I unscrew it.

There are several options for exactly where to fit it on the central vents.

Many thanks again.
