Had a G87 (Touring) for a month and in putting it through its paces in Germany I’ve noticed some tremor through the steering at speeds above 85 mph. I’m thinking a wheel imbalance, though I’ve never had that on a new car. Nothing to do with the 4WD surely…?

Anyone else experienced similar?

Best so far is an indicated 227 kph btw. :-)

Won't be warped discs; no such thing

It could be pad deposits (you could try some hard but safe braking to see if you can clear them and the pads of any glazing)

But yes, could absolutely be a wheel imbalance too; does the wobble come and go, or is it constant?

Hit any potholes lately? Out of round wheels are common and would cause that

First port of call would be getting the wheel balance checked and wheel checked for buckling

Thanks all. Car has just had its running-in service. No pothole incidents.

All pointing to a wheel out of balance.

Had similar on my M340i touring, albeit at around 40mph. Took the car in for a 4 wheel alignment and the balancing was slightly out. All is well now.
