Have an m50 i4 that has just past its 3 year build date.

Is an extended warranty recommended for electric cars?

Difficult to answer as only you know your attitude to risk. How much is the quote for an extended warranty and have you checked the exclusions?

The battery in the i4 is warrantied for 8 years or 100k miles.

I think you have to get it BMW parts can be ridiculous ,I am about to pay £250 excess for a headlight on my 2018 3 series that is going to cost £3,250. I pay £55 a month
