Strongly considering one of these.

Which one is most fun? The M2 seems to be a poor mans 1M coupe from what I can see, quite appealing,

Some say the M4 is more feral and a bit more fun.

Pros and cons to both? Which one is the better fun and a better place to hold my money?

All I can say TRD is that my pal Carl has had both; M2, to M4 back to M2 - He much prefers the M2 and that's after an F90 M5 as well (fed up of insurance costs)

I think his is a 2024 plate; not sure which gen that is

Which M2? F87 or G87?

I recently bought a M2 Comp 21 plate after looking at M3 touring / M3 / M4 convertible.
I just thought that the rest have just got too big.
I originally owned a E36 M3 evo and think the M2 comp is on par with it sizewise.
Can't fault the M2 in any way so far

Which M2? F87 or G87?
OP says the OG, so that’ll be the F87.

Just realised.

I’d go M2. In fact I did when I had the choice. Never regretted it. Interior on the m4 is better but I found the M2 much more fun and it didn’t try to kill me.

Aye f87, the m4 and M2 OG are similar prices now.

Definitely on team m2 at the minute. Rightly or wrongly I see the M2 as a poor man's 1m coupe, highly appealing.

I really like both to be honest, but I'm 5 years and nearly 50k miles in with my F82 M4 though, so I'll go with that! biggrin

Not sure where you’re getting the poor man’s 1M thing from, as I’ve never heard that before. I don’t think the 1M offers anything over the OG M2; it only holds the excessive value due to relative rarity, although there always seems to be loads for sale at any point in time and are slow to sell. Personally, I think a good M2 is a smart buy.

I haven't driven one bud, but I have been a passenger around Cadwell Park in both an OG M2 and an M2 Comp thanks to Nick(nickfrog) on here though. So I know that the M2 is a lot of fun as well for sure. thumbup

M3/4 are indeed massive now. Nearly as big as my G31 5er.

Love my F87 M2C
