G20 M340i hitch rack

Hi all,
I have a 2022 M340i and I'm looking to have a tow bar fitted (hitchrack fitting) for a bike rack. Can any rack be used or does it have to be BMW/specialist?
Reason I ask is our local BMW independent specialist have quoted over 3k for this which seems a heck of a lot.

Doesn't have to auto fold, just one that can be manually folded away will suffice

I had a detachable towbar fitted to my 2022 M340i touring, and use my Thule 3 bike easy fold on it no problem. I think it was around £1200 for both.

Thanks, can I ask who fitted yours? I need a hitch mount ideally which is a rare think in the UK

I'd suggest finding a local towbar specialist near you.

To make that work, you would need a flange towbar, rather than a swan neck. The issue could be clearing the bumper without cutting it.
