Hey everyone, first post here. I recently had my car stolen but has been recovered. It is a 21 plate 2 Series Gran Coupe. I have been advised by police to get my locks and keys changed as the culprit still has the main keys.

Going through the whole insurance process to get this sorted and I have been told to get them changed and they’ll reimburse me. They are only insuring up to £500. Is this something I am only going to be able to get done at a BMW dealership or are there any independent auto locksmiths that can sort it out? I have spoken to a few but they say that dude to the modern tech they can’t. Grateful for any help! I’m in the Manchester area but willing to travel if it’s cheaper than a dealership!

Dealership only. G-series BDC needs online BMW server access. No indie can do it yet.
You'll pay £600-800. Insurance £500 won't fully cover it.
Try Williams BMW Manchester or Halliwell Jones Warrington. No cheaper option sorry.

You can just get a new key and the stolen one/s coded out.
