After a rather poor experience with a Shoei GT 3 Air and a Sena SRL3 system, I'm just looking for a basic BT intercom which doesn't cost the earth, does what it says on the tin. The Shoei just ended up not being comfortable, a completely different experience with my Shoei lids of the past. Having never been someone who listened to music or had intercom, I bought the Sena system but hated listening to music when there was too much background noise and then only used it as a BT intercom with a mate as he had a Cardo system. I definitely don't want it for music, just for basic comms with another rider.

I bought a Freedcon off ebay back in 2018, I paid around £30 for the pair IIRC

I'll be using it later this week on a trip to Wales, so 7 years on its going strong, i've never tried a more expensive intercom so i cant say how much better they are but i can say for the price, its performance is excellent, its clear up to around 100MPH, has a distance of around a mile in ideal conditions, I can take calls on it, listen to music etc, the battery still lasts a full days ride , it's been great VFM I would say.

This is doing a seriously respectful job for me and the missus for not much money at all. Day we fitted them, she sent me off walking down the road a good hundred meters and we were still clear as crystal. Volume can lack with earplugs in, but we manage fine.

Is there a limit on how many you can synchronise together? 10 people potentially over-talking one another could be interesting!
