I seem to recall there is a sodding great prison opposite the circuit, the locals will no doubt be trying the get that shut as well ........

In all seriousness this doesn't just affect circuits but things like airfields, MX tracks etc. There does need to be some consideration to grandfathering planning rights to avoid this situation, whereby people move close to a noisy site and can then get that site changed on the basis of being disturbed by noise! Or the developer has to pay to relocate the site away from the houses!

Unfortunately its been a problem for years, I grew up in the countryside, one year a chap from London decided he wanted a taste of the good life, until he realised the countryside is actually quite noisy, he actually sued a local farmer for "disturbing his peace" because the cockerel always woke him up. Actually won as well! That is until the locals decided to make his life a living hell! Seem to remember the field next door to his house because the local storage for all the animal waste for a while .............. ended up selling up and moving on!
