MCN Online WTF

Morning all,

I used to love my morning routine, get into work, get changed into my coveralls and then put the coffee machine on and fire up my laptop. Each morning while avoiding opening my inbox and waiting for the rest of the workforce to turn up I would open MCN and have a little read of a few articles....... Not any more!

What is with the infuriating "Ad Blocker" announcement. It happens on both my work laptop which I am sure they have an adblocker working in the back ground on, but it also stops play and stops me reading anything on my personal device aswell, which I have checked to the best of my IT limited ability, does not have an ad blocker running on it.

WTF MCN, sort it out.

Anyone else have this issue? Does anyone else actually read MCN?

Side note, what happened to the two wheeled reviews on here?

Stopped reading the comic many years ago, just became full of ads, short articles, and never saw the point in road tests really, like someone telling you about what music they like, it's their opinion

I look at it on Readly through their app and it looks normal.

For what it's worth, Readly is £12.99 a month and has pretty much every bike magazine (and all newspapers and thousands of other mags) you can think on there including all back issues. Quick google shows MCN digital is £5.99 a month, so it might be worth having a look into Readly

Press reader is free for anyone with a library card and MCN is available on that website/app.

Yup, works fine for me as well on both laptop and mobile.

Do you only have the issue at work, or do you also have the same problem when using your home network?

Yea have the same issue at home. I am guessing that the work laptop has security stuff built in but it not working on my mobile is frustrating.

I do use a vpn on my mobile, do you think this could be causing the issue?

Can you screen shot it and post it up so I can see what you're seeing? ( or not seeing, as the case might be. )

Website looks fine to me on the various devices I just tried, and I do use an adblocker.

Well now would you believe it, since all this winging this morning it works as usual on my mobile.

result. now I am frustrated as I don't know what's caused the issue as I haven't changed anything on my phone! ah well.

I'd take that as a win and be happy. You can engage 'grump/rant mode' when it reverses itself for no apparent reason....
