Well done Ben! Looked good from where I was sitting at the bottom of Paddock Hill Bend. We went down to watch our mate Sam on her blue SV. A great day out with some great racing. I noticed that you came second in the minitwins B final? Not sure of any of the previous results as we arrived late.

I plan to come down to Brands again for more entertainment.

Thanks mate. The race in the morning was going well until it suddenly went badly wrong. Another chap who was just in front of me outbraked himself going into druids. This meant that I couldn't turn in until he'd gone straight across my nose. I made my best effort to turn after he'd sailed by but it was too late and I lost the front trying to make the bike turn. So nil points in that race. Grrr. I actually tried to get my bike going again, but the marshalls said no.

The second race was the non qualifiers race which was just for fun since I was put out of the previous race. I started 21st on the grid and was in 2nd by the 4th corner. I haven't had to start from the back in ages and it was bloody good fun pushing my way through.

I tried to push past no.30, but he defended extremely well. I ended up finishing 0.03 seconds behind him and managed the fastest lap of the race so it wasn't all bad. The next one's at Cadwell on the 29th May. I can't wait.

I noticed the fastest lap! Excellent. I had a brief look around the paddock to try and find you but had no luck.
