I noticed there are new cameras and a signs on tower bridge.

However, I noticed that the cameras are all pointed to take head on shots.

Does that mean bikes can't be identified because we don;t have a number plate?

I believe they're SPECS, and you're right, they record the front number plate so in theory there's nothing to worry about. I haven't tested my theory, though.

As it's a 20mph limit, it's a real pain to adhere to, too!

Does the camera cover the entire bridge?

It is such a pain in the arse. My bike is just screaming for a change of gear, but can't risk it!

Dumbasses. I tell you, talk about a nanny state.

I go through the SPECS cameras on thames street everyday and haven't had any unwanted postal deliveries as yet, they also face forward so assume they can't get bikes, the couriers go through faster than me and they tend to know where they can get caught.

Oh well, I guess I put it to the test.

I was riding down the bridge (towards tower hill) and without thinking got up to about 30mph. As soon as i realised, I decelerated in horror, but perhaps the damage has been done.

I really hope that the cameras didn't pick me up on my SV650, would be such a shame to get 3 points for absolutely no bloody reason. Do you guys think it will?

Anyway... will be sure to let you know if I receive a little love letter from the DVLA.
