As I finished a route through the Breacons, I took my hands off the bars and sat up for a bit of a streatch and the bars started wobbling.

I got the bike a little over a month ago with 2500 miles on the clock. I have since done over 1500 miles and have not noticed anything wrong with it.

The wobbling only happens as I'm coasting down from 60 to 40 (haven't tried it any faster yet), and even the slightest touch keeps it from happening. Could this just be a badly balanced tyre? a dragging brake? a design flaw? If so what do I do? Take it back, steering damper, keep my hands on the bars?

Ps. If anyone else out has a ZZR1200 C1H could you see if your does the same?

First off, in my experience all bikes will do this gently at about this speed. I'm going out on my ZZR1200 in a moment and I'll give it a go to see what speed it occurs at. So long as it isn't a violent shake (ie a tankslapper) and the bike's stable with your ahnds on the bars, I wouldn't worry about it.

Update:

It doesn't seem to do it above 70 and it also only seems to do it going downhill.

Maybe I should go and ride around the Breacons again to see if it was just a fluke?

I've just had new headstock bearings, front tyre and discs and it does it at the same speed as yours and always has ( it's done 54,000 now), don't go no handed is the answer.
