Hi everyone,

new to this part of the forum, just sold my TVR.

Deciding to go for the CBT etc and a longer term goal is for a V MAX. Can anyone give me some advice on whether this style of bike is a good un or is there better about now?

Thanks

IMO
Its a great iconic bike - plenty of grunt and beefy looks - its tuneable and has reasnable handling - but theres plenty better now

Well, a weekend machine really, looks a bit different like the VMAX, more a sitting up position rather than lay over the tank and use it for 70 - 80 mile trips at a time, that would take me to the seaside from here in Leeds & reasonably comfortable. Very new to this idea so please bear with me if I am a little vague on selecting the options. Thanks again for your input, greatly appreciated.

I too wanted a V Max
Never got round to it

Went
Honda 80
Suzuki 250
Suzuki 550
Kawasaki 600
Suzuki 750
Honda 1100
Suzuki 1100

TVR - TVR - TVR - Renault

Id have a Buell if I were doing it again
Sligtly different, not balls out, reliable and torquey

I'm a V-max and TVR fan - agreed there are quicker bikes/cars out there, but if, like me you also want noise, character, presence, and some fantastic straight line thrills then I think they are hard to beat!
My lottery garage would definitely have a V8 TVR and a modified V-max...
