Probably just me that gets frustrated by misadvertised bikes (equally I know some of you get frustrated by people calling motorcycles, bikes)

FFS it's your job and it's illegal

Not Rs

It's not hard, if it hasn't got an orange frame and a high front mud guard, it's not a bloody R (doesn't apply to 2023 re introduced model)

Quite common I think.

I keep my eye out for used Kinesis Tripster ATR's

They're a mid/high end titanium bike (bicycle). Very often AT's (regular Aluminium and lower spec bike) are advertised as ATR's.

Probably catches enough people out to make it worthwhile.

Amazing how arsey bike shops get when you message them to highlight the innocent mistake.

It's too common and it's funny how they always seem to make the mistake for a better model

This one particularly bugged me has had a huge sign saying they stand behind every bike they sell

Or mis-sell biggrin

Orange frame is important as are orange wheels.

You'd think Premier being a KTM dealer would do better. A colleague has bought two used Japanese bikes from them.

Put a online review on them.

No doubt then you'll get pressure 'what can we do to get you to take off your review Sur' contact as I did when I enquired about a full main dealer history bike and it had 20% of the actual history required.

I told them on the 4th call to stop.

I wouldn't do that - unless I'd gone to view or been sold one that wasn't as described

I have complained to AT that Super Bike Factory use ABS / Panniers / DCT in all their ads so the AT search doesn't work

IE if you search for a bike with ABS - all SBF ads come up even though many don't have it

It's not allowed by Ebay I'm hoping AT will make them stop it but I won't hold my breath

I thought it was just me that it wound up.
Have a search for 690 enduros and 500 excs to see almost anything but. Its called a 690 in the advert why is it 125cc???

E.g.
KTM 690 Enduro

It is almost to the point of not even worth searching.

S model Ducatis are a pain for this. The aftermarket Ohlins shock is not the same as the kit S models get. Had this when looking for a Multistrada as I really wanted the Ohlins, a Termi system (not just a can) and carbon fripperies.

Also, the number of Monster 797s (fine bikes but air cooled two valvers) advertised as 821s (a different kettle of fish) is irksome.

Superbike Factory are a real pain in this regard.

If Premier KTM is the one in Didcot, I recall turning up for a prearranged test ride on a 990 SMT. They said they didn't think I could handle the power and offered me a TDM 900 instead. I'd turned upon a 1000cc Ducati, not a Lexmoto 125

But the review function is just that - to help others. If someone puts full main dealer history on their products and you make phone/email enquiries then dodges the question when asked. How is that fair? How many make a trip then find out or worse when it's post purchase.

Its dishonest and we know why they do it, sell something saying it's got something for a financial advantage.

Selling my bike recently I put 4 main dealer services with receipts and stamps. Someone said 'can you make yours cheaper as other same model/year bikes at dealers are 'full history' bikes too. I didn't even bother replying.

Sorry for the rant but maybe just maybe if reviews challenged sales practices it might just eradicate this underhand and dishonest Tactic.

Exactly.

Common sense.
