Off-road hire / experience days NW

A friend and I have booked a break in Spain (https://www.trailworld.co.uk/) later this year. We're both fairly experienced road riders but haven't done much off-road and so we're looking at doing some in the UK beforehand to build up a bit of confidence.

We both own sports / tourers so would need to find a place that provides the bikes / gear so after some recommendations on places from people that have done this before.

Ideally in the North-West but we're happy to travel.

I did the Yamaha Off Road school many years ago, which I'd recommend. I think they are mid Wales only now though, so not too far away from you. Bikes and all kit provided if required.

I had a weekend with Trail World a couple of years ago, it was fantastic.

The trails you'll go on will be mostly dry and rocky, and you'll likely start off with easier trails before progressing to more interesting stuff. Compared to the wet muddy trails you'll find in the UK it's almost a different skillset! Any experience is good of course, but even if you don't get the chance you'll be in good hands once you get to Spain, Mark will make sure the route is tailored to ensure everyone is having fun regardless of your level. The bikes are also really easy to ride and inspire confidence.

I might just book myself another trip now!

Came across Ridgeline Trail and Adventure Tours on YouTube the other day. Based in Lttleborough near Rochdale.
