It's new bike day!
Discussion
I'l caveat this by saying i haven't actually been out on it yet on account of the s
te Scottish weather. This is my fault of course cos i have a new bike, sorry!

I took delivery of a 16 plate z1000sz and am itching to get out on it. I did buy from Superbike Factory but fully researched the risks and despite some advice i went ahead anyway. The thread isn't to comment on the services provided by SBF; at least not until i've had a chance to get out and about on it and it doesn't detonate itself.
First impressions are it's a very well cared for bike, needs a sidelight bulb and a general check over for chain tension, etc. but starts and runs like a dream. Heated grips and gear indicator seem to be some added extras but i think the grips were an option as new, not sure.
Ironically the bike came with a Saltire on the front of it and was shipped from down south, maintained by a garage not that far from me. It's due a service so will get that done, too. Anyway.. pics and all that...

Congratulations. A 2017> one in metallic green is a potential next bike for me, but that blue looks good too but I am a tart and I like the orange ones too, so.... I really don't mind those exhausts though I can appreciate they weigh a lot. I've had heated grips fitted to both of my bikes.
Does that Saltire need replacing? It seems to have lost a corner. Blue on blue works. One of my grandmother's was born in Glasgow near the Partick Thistle ground.

Thanks man. It does need replacing, on the list when I get to detailing it. Does that Saltire need replacing? It seems to have lost a corner. Blue on blue works. One of my grandmother's was born in Glasgow near the Partick Thistle ground.
This is the last z1000 I had.
A thought from the kettle was that a so-so bone jarring could be a justification for a new bike or another bike.
I was interested in how the Audi rode on those big rims. Fancy suspension has made for a better ride as in ride comfort and tackling potholed roads?
I shouldn't be considering them, but the 3 litre supercharged ones have some appeal.

Not sure I understand what you mean but the wheels are a nightmare. I bust two of them on potholes. Fancy suspension doesn’t help with craters. I was interested in how the Audi rode on those big rims. Fancy suspension has made for a better ride as in ride comfort and tackling potholed roads?

I've had to use a local Screwfix today and there's a J&S around the corner en route. On the way back there was a 17 plate Z900 parked up. I resisted going into the shop and telling the owner how good their bike looked, I really like that Sugomi Z rear light feature and Kawasaki had to change that Z lamp for the recently released revamped ones that don't look as good from the back as the Zorro Zed rear lamp earlier ones.
