Hiya,

I rarely ride these days but do enjoy showing them at Steam and Vintage and other shows.

So before I give em up all together I bought one to display that is as old as me and a lightweight for transporting.

It's recently come from Italy where some sypathetic restoration has been done to the engine and frame parts.

I'm leaving the look as it is as an Oily frame resto.

The transmission is three speed hand change which I've never experianced before so that will be a challenge.

I love it.

I will have some questions so if there are any other owner on here, please tell me.

Cheers
Lance

Not a Guzzi but I have this little 50cc Morini. I’m currently trying to work out the electrics to get it running…

Those are both wonderful machines. beerbeer

I gave up biking a couple of years ago due to old age and the proliferation of potholes. I would love to get something similar to restore and show. I shall start looking.

I actually spotted a Corsarino project in the Pugh’s auction at the end of this week. Suspect it won’t make much money!

Hi mate, I have family in Mandello who of course are Guzzi fanatics (Uncle is/was president of the owners club). I've been to the factory museum a few times and always impressed by the engineering from back in the day.

Hope you enjoy the bike!

I seem to buy old bikes that no one else has in the UK or won't own up to it maybe. The Romet and now the Guzzino.

Is there anyone on Pistonheads that has a Guzzino or knows someone who has?

Thanks in advance

I’m not aware of anyone on Pistonheads, but the guy who did Italian Motor Magazine now has his own Facebook page and YouTube channel. He has rebuilt several early Guzzi models, so he could be a decent source of information, and I think he’s based in London…

Says hammer price £450. That decal on the side panel is charming.

Yep, I think I paid £325 for mine about 30 years ago so not the greatest of investments hehe

Mine’s missing one toolbox cover and the little pirate decals. I really should try and get some, think there’s some on eBay.

The small seat on the rear mudguard of the Guzzino has been out in the sun too long in Italy, the leather has dried out and is holed. The 1949 foam filler has set like a brick.

I took it off and was going to get it restored but the workmanship that went in to it originally is amazing so I refitted it and am applying leather restorer, hope the shock wont destroy it biglaugh.

It won't be use as a seat anyway and retains the patina. bow.
