Classic Bike show, Stafford, April '26.

Excellent day out today at the Classic bike show at the county showground at Stafford.
As always it was packed with punters inside and out hoping to catch a bargain, the highlights for me was a stunning 1969 BSA Firebird scrambler, a 1971 Kawasaki two stroke triple in orange, and a Harley Davidson sportster that was purchased new by Kevin Keegan, and he had it personalised in Newcastle United colours, with a large magpies badge on the petrol tank.
Multi TT winning legend John McGuinness took to the stage for around hour answering questions about his career.

I couldn t go as my dad s poorly so I ve been looking after him. I did watch some of the auction online though, looking forward to how people spin the whole nobody wants old bikes after some of those results! World record for a vintage Sunbeam at auction, for example.
Hope your dad gets better soon.
Probably about the tenth time I've been, over the years. As always it depends on the weather, especially for the hundreds of traders outside.
Today, happily, the sun was cracking the flags.
I went up Sunday, usually go on the Saturday, and it was a lot quieter than previous years, a couple of stands said the same.
Bloody cold ride up first thing from Bucks but when the sun came out it warmed up nicely.
I had Bicester scramble and this on my diary but as the scarmble thread wondering what you get for your ticket there, Staffs show £18 and a lot of stuff on show, listened to John McGuiness talk about bikes and deafened by old TT racers being fired up.
Only complaint I would say is the charge to view the auction entries, from nearer than their picket fence, went to an auction viewing at the Motorcycle Museum recently and free to view and it was like a mini museum in itself.

I went with the family yesterday, was a great afternoon out. I used to live in Stafford many years ago so had a bit of a nostalgic drive around afterwards.
First time I've ever seen a Wall of Death as well and it blew me away!
Some really nice machines and brushed shoulders with the legend that is McGuinness as well.
