Anyone have them fitted ?
They seem cheap but not to cheap considering a pair of Capra R adventure's for my 1200 triumph scrambler

Never tried them, they could be good, but if I were looking for this type of mainly road use tire then it s just got to be Metzler Tourance.
Superb both dry & on a wet road, stable at high speed, surprisingly capable in mud in the Vosges on my heavy old XTZ850 Super Tenere

They seem cheap for a reason. Personally I'd go with anything from the Mitas range, they are excellent. And you don't want to cheap out on tyres.
I’ve been using them on my Tenere 700 which does see proper trail riding use. Used a set of Capra X to go on the TET in 2024 down through France to Italy to do the Stella Alpina rally. I really couldn’t fault them on road, be it on super twisty switchbacks and nadgery in the Alps/Jura or on the autoroute. Really quite an impressive tyre and they wore very well.
Last year did the same thing using Mitas Rally XT+ Dakars (I forget the exact nomenclature but they were CT with the yellow stripe). I honestly couldn’t really spot much difference on the trails which is where I was most interested in using them, on road they were surprisingly good but I got a lot of ABS action when pulling into hairpin bends. Didn’t get chance to use them on wet tarmac as it didn’t rain. The kicker was that they were totally shot after 12 days use (they’re reversible but they were too far gone) whereas the Anlas were good to do the whole trip again.
On that basis I’ve gone back to the Anlas Capra X as I think on balance they’re maybe not quite as good off road (but they’re still very good) but are way better on road and with at least double the useable life. I am not interested in price as I don’t usually pay much/at all for tyres.
Big thumbs up from me.
Fitted the new set which I’ll be TETting to Italy on and took them up Salter Fell two weeks ago….
I've run X's on an 1100 Africa Twin. They were not as good as the Karoo 4.
Pretty good offroad but the Karoo felt more planted on road.
As I am mostly road riding with a little off road at the moment I am running the XR and it is great, better on road than the X (which is not surprising).
I might look at the new TKC80 next. I have run old TKC80s, Rally STR, Karoo4, Anlas X, Anlas XR over the last few years.
