Ok, a preventative post instead of a banghead one: what are the things you carry at all times in your Chimaera?

My general list:
- Tool roll with misc wrenches, screwdrivers, extendo-magnets, zip ties, etc
- Fire extinguisher
- Water, snacks, emergency kit
- Jump box, tire pump
- Jack

And some bits that the my 430's previous owner gave me:
- A Bosch fuel pump relay (says serial # 0 332 014 112)
- A hex-like key for the Estoril lug cover
- A drive belt

What am I missing? What's saved a headache or two in your time with the car?

Two sizes adjustable spanner, screwdriver with changeable tip, cable ties and duct tape, relay, wire, paperclip and electrical tape, fuses, bit of fuel pipe and spark plug tester.

Depends on the trip for me.

If in the UK then just my phone and a car charger for it (has all my breakdown info on it).
When travelling to Le Mans/Europe then a much more comprehensive list laugh

I also never take the spare wheel and jack out. I know they are meant to be a nightmare to drive on, but tyre foam can't fix a proper blow out/ripped side wall. I'd rather be able to limp off the motorway to a safer location personally.

much as the OP but with a roll of duct tape to fix things that move but shouldn't.
fire extinguisher is in the cabin, not in the boot
an old-school paper road atlas for big-picture route planning
short spanner that I found to fit battery terminals in that tight space
some spare bulbs
Spare wheel & jack too, but with bigger brakes & 16" wheels I upsized to a Fiesta RS 16" spare
GEM assist card & phone so that when I park and forget to switch the lights off a nice man can sort it (lights on buzzer duly fitted)
Rainproof coat now you can't sit in the car awaiting rescue

Similar to a lot of the above plus
Warning Triangle

But when the Freelander catastrophically failed the only thing left working was the radio, it auto locks when you pull away so I couldn't open the boot to get the triangle out biggrin

I carry most of the above but was left stranded once due to the distributor rotor arm failing! So I now have a spare dizzie cap and rotor arm as easy to fit but the car will not run without!
I also have a few longer HT leads and a suitable bicycle wire/ cable to use if my accelerator cable breaks.
