Hi all

Has anyone installed the Tuscan blower upgrade on their cars?

https://racetechdirect.co.uk/electrical/tvr-heater...

I was driving to work yesterday in 32 degree heat with the AC on full and it just doesn’t feel powerful on full enough to cool the cabin.

I know people say just take the roof off but sitting in 30+ degree sun in my work gear and abit of traffic isn’t ideal just before starting my shift.

Just want to know if anyone’s done the upgrade and if it was a noticeable difference from the original.

Thanks

I don't like when people are mentioning a "TVR tax" with the few dedicated spare parts vendors we have.
But, now on the continent, as we have to pay another import tax on top of it (if not twice the VAT), I'm looking for alternatives.
So, don't launch a google image research on the picture of this fan, else you may want to buy it elsewhere.
I would be keen to test it however (could be also useful during cold days to remove quickly the mist on the windscreen).

I can’t answer the original question on how effective it is, but I did buy the Tuscan fan, and it’s sitting neatly in bubble wrap waiting for me to install it.
I got it because my original fan has the occasional squeak, and went for the stronger motor because why not.
I have seen other folk reporting it being better.

I spoke to Racetech and they think they have a couple in stock that I will order. Hopefully it’s not as bad as a job as you hear some people say, hopefully the end result is a good one

I had to stop myself from doing as you didn't recommend as otherwise I'd have found the same item available for £84 delivered and in stock.
