...not really but from experience I'd just advise having plasters and a good few cold beers on stand-by!

Might be worth using the 'search' function...if it's available.

IIRC darkmatter, who posts on the Griff forum has done this. He accessed the top mounting bush/bolt by cutting a hole in the grp above the diff. This allowed easy (relatively) access to the top mounting.

Obviously, the drive shafts and prop had to be let go first - but it can be done.

I have taken the diff out of my Grif and as long as your organised and have the right tools there is not a lot to it. As a word of warning its best described as fking heavy!! I did mine from under the car as oppossed to Darkmatter who cut through behind the passenger seats. Will try and post up some links shortly. Anything specific you need to know? Have you got a copy of the "Bible"?

Anti roll bar off
Exhaust off
Prop disconnect
Drain
Remove 2 side bolt fixings and 1 rear which is a bit of a bar steward!
Catch diff, very heavy!

Add disconect driveshafts to the above - your right about the search engine but if you go into my profile, my contributions and go back about 12 months you will find a number of usefull Topics where people have offered advice. Why is the dif coming out?

Not as bad to do as some make out, falls out a lots easier than getting it back in there - I suppose gravity helps!

If you have no speedo sensor issues before you start, measure the gap before taking it off and put it back exactly the same way (assuming BTR) wink

Also, a really good time to grease the prop UJs.
