Noticed a few weeks back that the clutch pedal had gone a bit floppy on the first inch or so then also got a bit softer on a longer run. Slave looked like it might have been leaking so replaced it, flushed through new fluid / bled well (old fluid looked manky).
Pedal is still a bit floppy for the first inch or so but then seems nice and firm. I didn’t see anything obviously wrong with the clutch fork but couldn’t get under enough for a really good look and wasn’t entirely sure what damage I might be looking for!
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Seems to return fast / firm enough, just a little free movement left at the top. It’s not causing any problems so I’ll live with it and keep an eye on it in case it get any worse.
After a good run out this afternoon the new slave, fresh fluid and a good bleed has certainly made it feel a lot better (and not like it was about to give up on me!).

Have you checked for play in the fork and pin that attach to the pedal? The pin in particular will wear out. Very simple to change and the parts cost about £5.

Check the MC piston is coming back to/meeting internal circlip behind the dust cover (hands and knees head in footwell) easy enough smile if not chances are the internal return spring is broke not common but not unheard of either

Thanks. Feels like I need a new MC and pin. I’ve ordered both and looking forward to fitting!
