Merry Christmas all!

I have been blessed with more wiper issues. The motor stalled half way through a wipe due to the drive cable bending. I'm not too sure why as the cable moves very freely on the wheel boxes, but I've found reference to this being a thing that can happen if a 14w cable has been fitted for whatever reason.

Does anyone know where to get a 29w type cable which is double coiled on the first few inches to prevent this from happening? Or do we all just accept the 14w cable which will apparently eventually eat itself?

Picture showing the difference here https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

OP, message me and I will pop one in the post FOC...with a link to my chosen charity.
Always happy to help...I note your 3D printed gears have started to 'appear' with me.

That's very kind of you, thanks! I'll ping you a message.

I straightened it out as best I could yesterday, tried this morning and it wiped just fine multiple times. Finicky buggers.

R.e gear, it's probably mine or there is a chap named fallwood (I think) on here who originally printed one. If it's flat on both sides it isn't mine. I don't (and won't) sell them though, I just posted the model online 🙂 It's also possible someone somewhere has downloaded it and started selling it of course - I've seen two instances of this happen with the cup holder I posted online (or they're suspiciously identical).

If you have the means to stress test it or properly measure it (basically all I have are good digital calipers!), I will send you one if you're at all interested? It's just been trial and error for me based on trying to measure the original gear and then running it to see how long it lasts (first print lasted about a year and it's my daily driver). I just made some tweaks a couple of days ago.

I will get one in the post (I will need an address, so I will reply to your mail)...I have a 1000 plus of the gears ...I don't sell them and install then for free whilst correcting the other issues (like the wrong rack/park switch etc) the last motor in had 8 parts missing along with your version of 3D printed gear.
