I'm going to pop this on here a someone recommended a speed sensor for a Chim on Facebook and another Chim owner has confirmed it works and only cost £16. I'm sure that info will be lost forever on Facebook

It's a great find if it is a good replacement. Genuine ones are over £140 at Racetech, and at Motoclan. Powers website is down. frown

Purchased one form a guy on the Cerbera forum (he was selling them) over 10 years service no issue and you dont need to run a silly tight air-gap for it to function reliably , if I can remember his name ill be back was about £25 IIRC

A copy of my post in another topic.

The ebay sensor arrived today and was a fairly straightforward swap. Same thread but better metric sized nut and end. I joined the cables rather than re-wiring the plug as I am not sure I have quite the right connectors.
It is a bit longer than the original but there is plenty of room.
Best of all the speedo now works and according to my phone map is giving a correct reading.
So £18 rather than £130 and the only extra work was connecting two wires. I am very pleased and my wife can avoid another speeding ticket!
Now of course I need to see how long it lasts.

Great post.
I also have a failed speedo unit. The odometer stopped working first, then the speedo. Suspected the speedo unit itself but had considered it could be the sender unit.

Is there anyway to test the sender like put an oscilloscope across the output and spin up the rear diff on axle stands? Anyone tried anything like that?
