Sticking Boot Catch

Sometimes opening the boot takes 4-5 round trips between the button and the boot for it to open.

When pressing the button, the noise can be heard from the boot, but it does not always release.

Anyone else had the problem?

You might want to check the alignment of the boot catch & striker - also give everything a good oiling.
If you have someone put some slight pressure on the boot lid at the same time as you press the button, does that help?
It may of course be your solenoid on the way out - a Mondeo part IIRC...
