overseas cover
Discussion
does anyone have any ideas / recommendations for this regarding breakdown / recovery? I understand that AA 5* is for 1 item only ie a coil. if you have a problem like suspesion failure where lots of damage is done - you are not covered. ( had afriend who clipped a rock in italy nearly ripping off the rear wheel and it wasn't covered ) APPARENTLY insurance is better as the locals see the number on your policy and bill everything to that! is this just available abroad??
any hints??

There are really two subjects here. For breakdown, I use Green Flag who will give you full cover (get you home, tow to garage etc) in Europe at a slight extra annual fee over the UK norm. This is important to me as I am currently based in Europe with a Griff -but touch wood no need for the service so far!
For accidental damage, you are talking insurance and yuo need to ask your insurers about the extent of cover. Ask in writing - fax etc - and get the answers in writing. Not that I don't think insurance companies are completely honest!

The Griffs a good car to have in Monaco, especially in Ocean Haze. The noise and looks are a real head turner, in a town where there are more F360's than you could believe.
What an event the Historic was! Truley superb and so accessible. More fun that the F1 by a long way. If you come down again then get in touch for a meet up and a blast round the circuit in tandem!
