Thanks !!!!

8 times in 12 months? Surely this points to something being too tight or otherwise putting undue strain on the linkage and causing it to snap.

Simply replacing it as it snaps each time, 8 times, is fixing the effect not the cause?

Yep, thats why I want to have a go myself ...
Mol******** are the only guys who have been refitting the new ones on....

Am in a really pissed off mood, as it cost £240 to fix each time.
When I asked if this should be happening regularly, they replied "Its bad TVR design"

What Bollocks !!!!!!

Bling - try an independent if you're not happy with the current dealer (It does appear they see "£240" tattooed on your forehead). There's Tower View (North Circular), Thames Valley Racetech (Henley), David Batty (Guildford) and Raven (Gatwick?) not a million miles from you.

FWIW 4/5 years and 35,000 miles and no gear linkages needed.

David Batty's number is 01483 811995 and he's at The Garage in Compton. Look forward to hearing his explanation of what's going on.
Good luck

How long ago was it last fixed?, surely the dealer will give some form of guarantee on the repairs they make, I'd take it back and get them to fix for free.

Damn right! £240 every six weeks is barking - not to mention a bill of £1440! I think dealer work is guaranteed for at least 3 months, hopefully more. Maybe one for Trading Standards if you don't get any joy.

Went down yesterday morning to the David Batty....

What a great guy!!!
Not only did he fix the problem in about an hour ( as opposed to 2 days by you know who), it cost me only 90 odd quid.

How can dealers justify thier prices ??? Thats a difference of £150....

By the way Pena and Bling is the same person.
Never again....
