LCD Odometer - how to reset the trip counter?

Sounds a very simple question. Had my 2000 Chimaera for 2 weeks now and can't work out how to reset the trip counter! It's the LCD kind but my handbook only refers to the mechanical kind. There is a single black button beneath the lcd display. Pressing this toggles between total miles and trip counter. Have tried pressing and holding in, twisting, pulling. Can anyone help?

OK, what you do is press the button till you are on total miles covered. Then hold it down for a few seconds & it will change to trip counter AND reset it.
