Taking the S out for a blast earlier today - and saw a Chim round Gallywood way about 12pm...

... I was the one in the burgundy S who flashed his lights and generally waved like a complete nutter...

... anyone here?!? (and did you clock me wearing my rather fetching PH beanie? )

Apologies, it's me.

Not being rude just dozy.

Only had the car 3 months, and I am a very part-time user of this forum.

Thanks anyway for the greetings, I'll keep my eyes peeled in South Chelmsford next time.

wheeljack888 - thought I spotted the car at the mid Essex meet as well... but couldn't track down the owner!

Anyway, Wheeljack / Andy... I'm often in around Chelmsford and the surrounding area (some good traffic-less lanes around y'know!)... so if you see us (burgundy S3), then give us a

Come along to the Mid-Essex meet..! Next one is Sunday 13th April... Forresters golf course Great Totham (quite a nice run actually).

Fun starts at around 12:30 and winds up around 4 (having had some food)... if you can't be bothered to dig out the map, give me a shout on e-mail (via profile) and we can go down in convoy...

I'm up for a convoy...!

I tend to go to Great Totham through the lanes... I head from Chelmsford to Boreham, through Hatfield Peveral and then on to Great Totham that way... filling up at the Shell garage (mm... OptiMax) on the way in...! Good thing about my route is;

a) no sCameras
b) nice wide roads with some good bends
c) only a small bit of town (30mph) driving
d) decent scenerey (ish)
e) little traffic..!

Hi, Yes Silver Chimaera: P4** TVR, that was me heading from A12 to Linnet Drive. First time on Piston Heads, that's why a slow response. Ask for Stu when your at the next Mid Essex get togther, Pauline knows who I am. Have you visited the Mid Essex web site? It has good directions to the Forresters Golf Club (actually sign posted as 'Forresters Park') so don't drive past. We normally have a good turn out of 60+ cars and Castle TVR normally bring along a new demonstrator too. Hope to meet you in April.

I cant make the April meet, but would be up for a convoy at the May one!

It's quite easy to get a convoy going, you just get lost on the way to the forrester, then cruise round the lanes looking like you know where your going, then other TVR's follow you. Then, 1 hour later you suddenly "stumble" upon the Forrester and pull in.

Well, that what happend to me at the last meet when I got lost

A slow convoy would be good say at 50mph, just to p1ss the police off that go out of their way to try and nick TVR owners on the A130 every mid essex meet. It happens every 2nd Sunday of the month... Laser jammers to the ready!!!!!!!!!

Podie, I'd be up for a convoy.....could we put Alf at the back otherwise he'll get all the attention

If the weathers good how about an extended convoy, we could go over and meet the Kent boys and get to play in the tunnel..

I've got real concerns over this convoy... we'll have to go at my pace... my little S will be a bit underpowered compared to you lot!

Looking very unlikely like I will be able to join you guys. Clutch slipping badly now and so it will be up on the stands soon (when I can borrow my dads garage up in Leicester) Suppose it gives me a chance to do a full-on clean & inspection of the underneath and Hammerite where necessary.

Enjoy your convoy!

Sorry to hear that... - maybe we can do one in May too!
