I own a 450 Chimaera,
and after driving a few TVR Chimaera's, noted that
the 450 has a more tuneful note. The noise that
a TVR makes is part of the pleasure of owning one, has anyone else noticed this difference. My car has a std
exhaust system fitted, but I opted for the 450 over a 500 simply because the car sounded better and is nicer to drive. I had a 500 Griff before and found the exhaust note on that uninspiring, where as the 400 Chimaera I owned sounded spot on. Anyone else with any views on this matter? or do I need my ears syringed

The best sounding TVR is the one that you are sat behind the wheel and driving.

Having owned 4 wedges including a 450seac which strangely enough I thought did not sound as good as my 390se, I agree wedges sound the best or most brutal. but that wasn't my question really.

I've owned many TVRs since 89 the best sounding was also a 390 a close second 420SEAC, basically high spec short stroke engines sound sweeter. you should hear the SD1 3.5 racers, but they all sound great !
