I've just reversed into the security post at the end of my drive
Loud crack and crunch and bits of fiberglass on the drive, makes it worse knowing it was all my fault!
Do any of you know of a good place to get this damage sorted out at a resonable price for a good job? I live in Ellesmere Port nr Chester.
Also, can anyone estimate the cost? It's quite a small patch of damage about 20cm diameter under the black rubber strip on the rear 'bumper'.

Someone tow-barred my rear bumper (have the newer Chimaera without the black strip) and I've been quoted about 500 for the repair!

(They "need" to remove the rear lights as well apparently even though the damage is strictly to the bumper!)

But, and a big but! I'm in London!

Can you send a picture. If you can I will try to give you some idea of what you should be paying.

OK. Here goes. This is the sort of estimate you should be getting from your repairers.

Remove and Refit: Rear panel fittings. Boot carpets. Drop the exhaust.

Repairs: Inner and outer rear panels.

Paintwork: Rear panel and blend out onto the n/s rear wing in colour to match.

Clear away the seal from the n/s rear lamp cover and reseal.

It looks like about 13 hours labour @ the bodyshops labour rate? And about £ 120.00 paint & materials, all + vat. Labour rates vary from repairer to repairer. Ring the repairer and ask.

Hope this has helped.

Good luck.

Jon.
