Traffic Killed my Screen!!
Discussion
There i was, caught up in the horrible A13 outta dockalnds Jam, temp was getting high, been there for last 25 mins, decided to be kind to the engine and stick full heat on, but dont wanna boil, so point it to screen...
another 15 mins later, and jup, CRACK, screeeeeek
A lovely little snake etches itself around the bottom of my window, then up the window, then stopped,
Flung heaters to cold and feet... it carries on rising another inch, then stops ..
No rough edges inside or out, just in the middle
Called insurance and they gonna sort it tomorrow..
so, beware, dont stick full heat on your windscreen for too long !!!

Sorry to hear you woe's Jamie, not so much tragic just a pain in the ar*se.
Alternative, get a fan override switch fitted,
Not much more outlay than a replacement screen (excess paid) i.e. 70 quid ish. It may help next time your stuck in traffic.
Big Al.
BTW it don't look pink to me! Nice colour.

Agreed. Just to save you researching, the gist is
A) Insist on a TVR dealer or other qualified technician or
B) Get AutoGlass or whoever to put down in writing that they have experience of fitting a screen to a Chimaera and that they accept liability for any damage their fitter causes to the lining and will rectify it at their cost (ie. indemnify you).
