... but, cleaned mine today (it was filthy) and the previously non-working reverse light now works!!! (oh, and the car runs much smoother and seems to pull harder too!)

Eh?!! How's that work then?

I didn't clean mine on Saturday and still won a tenner on the lotto so I don't think the two are connected

Pretty much, they've just started getting worse recently!! To the point now where they all need fixing at the same time. It's still going though, still more reliable than most other cars i've driven!

Oh, and the bonnets falling off too!

I think you better change your profile "A lucky find i think" to something else, thats why i sold mine the cost of repairs and the inevident of something going wrong all the time eventually takes the grin off your face.

You've got to bear in mind though mate, that I've done as many miles since Xmas as most TVR's do in a year (almost 6000).

I expected a few little problems, and thats what I got. The car is on 74000 miles, and things are bound to wear out. The main thing is though, that it hasn't broken down on me, gets me everywhere I need to go, and it still puts a grin on my face every time I look at it.

I haven't actually spent much money on it since I bought it, apart from a service (£580), new alarm fitted (£400), and new rear tyres (£196), and a shed load of petrol!! I know the few niggles I have with it now will cost a few hundred, but after that it will be in tip top condition again!

I still think it was a lucky find, for the amount that it's had done to it (as in upgrades) and the price I got it for.

Cheers, Dan
