Alarm playing up.

Hello everybody, I wonder if anyone could give me some help with the alarm on my 97 chimaera. Its not always responding to the remote fob Its the single button type which i think is the meta system. the spare is also acting the same and batteries in both are ok Can you adjust sensitivity? The problem seems to be increasing each week. thanks

cant help completely but ive found a similar problem with mine on my griff.i can allways unlock door, or remove immobiliser(like when the keys are in the ignition) on first press of the button.but when i try to lock car it doesnt always lock first time.i get best locking success by holding blip near to rear door edge when pressing,which is odd as i was told by dealer that sensor is above windscreen!try this,it might help,id still like to know why its like this as well though.

had a chat with bryan from fernhurst over my meta alarm on the griff ans he said to very gently press the button on the key fob. it seemed to work better that way. but still need to be near car
