Hi all,

I managed to get the front shock off my car over the weekend fairly easily, but I've hit problems with the spring. I can just about get one spring compressor over it, but there's no way I can then get the second one in.

Now my compressor is a bit chunky, so a smaller one might fit. But I don't want to just buy one and hope it works, so has anyone got the name of one that actually fits these small springs without fouling the damper body?

Thanks

You need a coilover spring compressor, most of the ones the normal accessory shops sell are strut spring compressors designed for a much bigger diameter spring with bigger gaps between the coils.

Oh... I thought coilover was short for "coil over oil", ie McPherson strut. oops.
