I am in the process of having the heads scimmed and new gakets fitted as one has blown. Does anybody have any ideas on work that can be done while this is happening i.e cams. Are there any jobs that have worked for you. The motor is a 5 ltr chimeara on a 97 plate. I have around a £1000 to spend on top of the work that is being done. It will be done by TVRbodyshop in bristol.
Speak with the guys from ACT products (Advertise on here) or Mark Adams (a member of Gassing) for advice. You should get something decent for £1k though 
I'm no expert, but I'd suggest a rolling road/ECU tune up to start with. £700 including a new ECU chip. Look in the Engines section of the Gassing Station.
