They were right!!

I finally picked up my Chimaera tonight, but not without a few problems!!! Anyone who read one of my other threads regarding the helpfulness of banks ( www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=35808&f=13&h=0 ) will know that I was preparing myself for trouble, and I was not disappointed! Arrived at the bank at 1pm and sat there until 5, just waiting for the bank to confirm that a cheque they should have cleared YESTERDAY had actually cleared. The waiting made me late for meeting the seller at 4.30, and he had to leave for the airport, so I actually had to meet him at Heathrow to give hime the money and to get the keys, then drive on to his house to pick up the car! With all the holiday traffic, I eventually arrived there at gone 9!!!

Anyway, it was all worth it The car is a beauty, and driving it home put the smile back on my face where a frown had taken hold all day. I thoroughly look forward to getting out and giving it a good clean tomorrow in preparation for some weekend fun! Excuse me if I'm not around to post too much...

Gareth, that grin is in danger of becoming a permanent addition every time you see your car, drive your car, think of your car, polish your car, talk about your car and welcome to a whole new happy world
Enjoy yourself this holiday,
I'm in south beds so maybe see you out and about.

Congratulations, and welcome to the fold.

I hope your weekend is dry and sunny, however if it gets a bit wet TAKE IT EASY! until you get used to it. All TVR's have teeth, BIG ONES, if you try to abuse them they will bite you… BIG TIME.

Have fun, keep grinning, safe driving and keep it shiny side up!

Worth the wait though wasn`t it !! You`ll even enjoy cleaning it - have fun. By the way, my mate reckons the best way to appreciate dartford tunnel is to enter slowly holding up all the traffic and then plant right foot through the gears!!!
