Hi all,
has anyone else noticed how thin the body panelwork is in places. Was working behind the access panel above the passenger side seatbelt mount and noticed that I could see daylight coming through the bodywork as it was so thin - where the inner wheel arch joins the side of the car - have noticed this in other areas where the body has been jointed or bent around a sharp corner. Anything to worry about do you think?

Mine's the same. Quite the opposite to the rear bulkhead section which I had to cut speaker shapes out of ... that is quite thick.

Light showing through only indicates lack of paint, as unpainted glass fibre is quite translucent in any thickness.

You may be right there 2sheds but it does look as if I could poke a hole through if I pushed it with my finger nail. Didn't fancy trying it though!

i would be supprised if it was anything less than 3mm , the old Wedges ( of which i have more experience) were up to 7mm in places, which was a little OTT.
