As Iv'e only had her a month I am still doing the obsessive compulsive washing thing every time I return from a spin. Trouble is theres usually quite a lot of steam produced from getting water on the hot bits. Somehow this steam ends up on the inside of the headlights along with a fly I seem to have captured.
Is this normal? Can the headlight be sealed somehow? Am I worrying about nothing, or will my flies sauna room mess up the silvering of the headlight?

bit surprised that happens. unit isn't sealed, put I'd have thought the bulb holders would form a reasonable seal, and they should be fairly well protected from the engine compartment by the access hatch arrangement in the wheel arch. Is everything in place OK?

Fk me, the other day I saw a fly in my headlamp and then it was gone. Thought I was going mad

You have made my day, I thought I was losing it!

I had a stray sidelight bulb once too.

Yes, condensation inside the unit will eventually cause the relfective stuff to deteriorate. The lens is only stuck on the front and stray flies are probably crawling through a gap around the edge of the lens. I had to replace one of my Chimaera's lenses and took out the stray sidelight bulb at the same time.
