Any ideas what this is for?

Any idea what the extra bottle is for between the rad and headers on this chim 500?
Is it power steering reservoir- seems an odd place?

Certainly looks like it, thats where you put it normally when you do a Scooby rack conversion with electric pump.

It does look quite like an electric PAS pump out of a Vauxhall.

It's probably notably better than the original, so I'd see it as a positive.

Yep GM leccy pump maybe a previously non PAS car thats been converted to the TVR PAS rack or the Impreza conversion either way win win
