Has anyone used an inexpensive wideband afr gauge they can recommend, I'm considering replacing the clock but not sure yet.
Is there anything around that hooks up to your phone these days?

I've got AEM's wifi version with exhaust gas temperatures too, I use my old Ipod Touch to see the information over the local wifi connection it creates inside the car.

Works brilliantly and when you don't want to see the data its as simple as just putting the Ipod Touch away, no permanent ill-matching gauge in the dash required.

Thats whst i have, just need a suitable reasonably priced gauge.
May turn to Aliexpress as they are cheap enough to take a punt.

Just dont frown an accurate AFR gauge/controller is a critical part of AFR monitoring why would you want to skimp or even chance things ? cheap is just not going to be accurate or reliable

I like the quick visual reference that a gauge allows on a lambda sensor system. My choice is the AEM X series .. so good I use one on my rolling road and not expensive at under 200 pounds.
I echo the point about not using innovate ^^

The AEM X-Wifi is of course a member of the AEM X series family that Jules is recommending.

So if you take that and combine it with your query about having something that works on your phone you end up with the AEM X-Wifi.

Its a very flexible solution and very accurate too, but you do need an IPhone as it doesn't work with Android. I use it with an old gen 1 IPod Touch I bought years ago, so if you don't own an IPhone you can always just buy used Gen 1 IPod Touch like mine off eBay cheap enough.

I like it because you don't need to put an ugly mismatched gauge in the classic Chimaera dash, it also gives you a bigger and clearer readout than a typical gauge, finally when you're done with looking at AFRs just shove the IPod Touch in the glove box pouch.

AFR anxiety is a real thing so I find I don't always want to see it, just use it to help map the car and then get shot of the numbers or you'll be constantly obsessing over AFRs.... which in my opinion detracts from the back to basics man & machine TVR driving experience.

Works for me wink

I gotta say I'm with Sardonicus on this one. Pay once and cry once.

Ive used the Innovate MTX-L and honestly I found it pretty good. Ive also had two TechEdge 2J1/2/9 units, which have also been very good.

You just gotta pay attention to sensor placement which I think makes a lot more difference than the perceived accuracies of different products. TechEdge recommend 1 metre from the nearest exhaust valve head and make sure the sensor is sited so that drops of condensation will run off the tip of the sensor, not down into into it, i.e. cable up, tip down.

I have the LM2 Innovate and although it worked correctly after about the 3rd firmware/flash update and seems to be fine there after I cant recommend their products know of too many owners having issues with their products through no fault of their own headache I also had voltage offset issues where the unit would register one AFR and in Tunerstudio another even when ground and powered from the same source rolleyes what good is that ? confused I use it seldom now for back up and comparison purposes I like my 14point7 Spartan 1 and 2 products they do exactly as intended correctly , heard good things about the Tech-Edge and Zeitronix stuff too lots seem to like the AEM gear thumbup PLX stuff seems to get mixed reviews scratchchin

AEM, AFR on the far right.

Easy to keep an eye on and blends in nicely.
